“ Unassuming spot in Lake City with large portions and really good xiao long bao! Ordered the pork soup dumplings, pan-fried buns, and fried rice. Food was hot and fresh and service was what I would expect. You scan a QR code to order and the staff were busy but so nice and apologetic (though they didn’t need to be). I’m not bothered by “lack of 5 star service” at places like these. The food speaks for itself and I can imagine the pressure to keep prices affordable. I’m happy to grab my own water if it means I can enjoy the biggest soup dumplings I have ever seen with entire spoonfuls of clear umami broth. We were just visiting and maybe for the best because I could see myself here at least once a week. ”

“ : 10/10. Two of us came here for a late lunch, It is hard to believe that we ordered 4 dishes and they came in generous portion! The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the 松鼠魚 and 樟茶鴨* 9/10. The service here is excellent. The servers are all very friendly and smiley! Very attentive without being intrusive. The entire staff worked seamlessly and we had a great dining experience. We never had to ask anything twice! And I also am delightfully impressed by the waiter's pro-active action to pack our leftovers to go for us! * 7/10. Well, coming from an Asian perspective, this place is very clean and very nice compared to all the other Chinese restaurants that I have ever been to! My friend also said that the bathroom is unexpectedly clean and smell very nice lol! I think it is in a great location with many transit and parking access. I would suggest to use some improvement in the interior design to give a more aesthetic outlook! But it is a very comfortable place for dine in! ”

“ This place is fantastic, I went alone but wish I’d brought friends! I got the pork xiao long bao and they’re big with lots of soup, a very clean tasting pork flavor. The chili beef was perfectly spiced and great if you want mala flavor. I also go the Dan Dan noodles and forgot to take a picture before I started eating, but the portion is huge - they literally served it in a pie plate. You order from the QR code and website so service is really unobtrusive. Highly recommend! ”

“ LOOOOVE this place! I’ve been craving din tai fung but didn’t want to make the drive, so I came here instead. It exceeded my expectations by far. Everything was delicious. The xiao long bao was so flavorful and juicy. We also ordered noodles which were amazing, as well as a shrimp dumpling. So so good everything was great, the atmosphere, decor, service!! I won’t ever go anywhere else. They even gave us the cutest red envelopes in honor of lunar new year. To my surprise, there was actually a bill in there. I’m not being dramatic when I say this place is a delight. ”

“ This review is for specifically this ONE dish: Mashed peppers with preserved egg and eggplant is the "S" tier dish. I've tried this dish in different restaurants in Seattle and all over. Mount&Bao has the BEST version - it's soooo umami. I haven't been able to forget it for years! I eat for a living :) and I'm Chinese, born in China so I'm pretty picky Thank goodness for the owners. They seem to work really hard. The lady front of house is really nice even if her English is a little lacking. Nice family owned joint! Portions are generous!!! ”

“ The restaurant is known for its Baozi but the chef and owner is also from Hunan Province and their Xiang Cuisine (湘菜) is awesome. Authentic and great volume. We ordered a bunch of dishes and we finished nearly all of them. The service is also great as one of us is allergic to garlic and they kindly asked the chef to do stir fries without garlic. Will definitely visit again to taste some other dishes! ”
